"We both benefited greatly from his skillful services. Whether for stress relief, attention to injuries or post-marathon massages, Jeff's multidisciplinary educational and fitness background played an important role in our well being. He would go the extra mile, often doing extra reading and exploring new techniques.

A Better Value for Your Time and Money.
Health care in the U.S. is upside down. When we're in pain we seek the most expensive, invasive
and chemical-oriented approaches to healing first. Only when the medications or surgery fail to bring relief do we consider gentler, whole-person approaches like massage, nutrition and lifestyle changes.
This is crazy. Chemically altering the body, its organs and brain or cutting into the tissue of the body should be the last option we reach for, not the first. This upside-down approach to our health is expensive, risky and it creates dependency on others for our health.
Many people understand this, but what to do? Few of us are taught the alternatives to the dominant pills-and-scalpels approach to healing. Few understand how their bodies work: how injuries happen, why pain persists, how to provide the body the right care to allow lasting healing. And medicine itself suffers, both from limited tools and limited vision. Its like the old saying, "When all you have is a hammer (medications and surgery), everything looks like a nail (chemical and surgical issues)."
Prairie House starts with your story, not just your symptoms. You will be invited to share your goals, your stress, your strengths, your challenges. You will learn how your body works, and we will work together as partners to understand how an imbalance in body, mind or spirit may be a big part of your physical problems. Then you will learn how massage, self-care and other therapies can help you regain balance, health and lasting wellness.
Massage is not the answer to every problem. But it is one sensible, low-risk, inexpensive place to start. If massage, care and coaching are not effective to get you back on the healing path I will refer you to the best healing professionals in our community who can. All in a caring approach respecting you as an intelligent, full partner and decision-maker.

"Because of the relaxation and comfort offered through massage, I truly believe
that the massages helped me heal and kept me focused. Because of reduced pain
I slept better, felt better, and was able to be more active. All those elements
are so important in the success of the healing process."
